Meet The Authors

Dr. Keith Levick, PhD

Keith Levick, PhD, or “Dr. Keith,” as many of his clients refer to him, holds a Master of Social Work and Doctorate in counseling from Detroit’s Wayne State University and has worked within or together with large, medium, and small companies and corporations for thirty years.

 

Dr. Keith is the CEO of Goren and Associates, a professional development, executive coaching, and consulting firm in Farmington Hills, Michigan. He has spent many of his clinical years as a psychologist in private practice. In 1991, he transitioned his clinical expertise into organizational psychology and business. Over the years, he has demonstrated his versatility and adaptability by working with a diverse range of organizations, including General Motors, Burns and Wilcox, Schoolcraft College, Mercedes Benz, MGM Grand Detroit, and Freeport Memorial Hospital.

 

He has written and lectured extensively in psychology and business. Dr. Keith is an adjunct professor at Wayne State University and Lawrence Technological University and has authored numerous professional articles. He lectures on various business-related issues around the country as an invited speaker. Dr. Keith was a regular guest for fifteen years on a local ABC-TV talk show, Kelly & Company. He has also served as a local expert for NBC and ABC television and radio.

Matt Bertman

Matt Bertman has been passionate about his work in the field of talent management and leadership development for over twenty-five years. As an experienced Human Resource executive, Matt has specialized in the areas of leadership development, talent management, learning, and employee engagement.

 

Matt currently serves as the Senior Director of Learning and Development for Indeed, which is the number one job site worldwide, with the mission to “help people get jobs.” Matt manages a global learning team that develops accessible and empowering learning opportunities to equip “Indeedians” with the knowledge, skills, and resources to innovate and drive sustainable success.

 

Throughout Matt’s career he has worked for diverse multi-industries including Gentherm, a thermal technology organization, and Amerisure Insurance Company, where he was responsible for talent management strategies. Matt helped bring Amerisure’s Corporate University to fruition along with driving key strategic talent management and development initiatives.

 

Prior to joining Amerisure, Matt held the position of National Director of Leadership Development for Pulte Homes, where he managed the implementation of management development programs in addition to creating and disseminating the organization’s training curriculum and e-learning capabilities. In addition, Matt established the Institute for Continuous Learning (ICL), at the time one of the premier corporate universities in the automotive industry. Matt also has served as a change management consultant for Ernst and Young.

 

Matt has been recognized by Chief Learning Officer magazine’s Learning Practice Awards as a recipient of their Leadership Award. Matt is the author of an ASTD (American Society for Training and Development) Info Line entitled “How to Partner.”

 

Matt graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor’s degree in American Public Affairs. He also received a master’s degree in Labor and Relations and Human Resource Management from Michigan State. Matt, his wife, and children reside in West Bloomfield, Michigan.
